Monday

Mars Rover Simulator

Children will design, build, and program a robotic rover to navigate Martian terrain. Using LEGO Robotics for younger participants and Arduino for older children, they will delve into the world of robotics, coding, and planetary exploration. This immersive workshop spans both the morning and afternoon.

Interplanetary Weight Calculator

Participants will program a tool to calculate weight on different planets, gaining a fun and interactive understanding of gravity and planetary differences.

Astronaut Training Challenges

Engage in physical activities simulating zero-gravity tasks. From “walking” on a balance beam to teamwork exercises, children will experience the challenges faced by astronauts.

Tuesday

Collaborative Mars Colony Model

Children will work in teams to design and build a model of a Mars colony. Using craft materials and 3D design concepts, they’ll explore the necessities for life on another planet.

Morse Code Communication

Decode and send messages using Morse code, just like astronauts communicating across vast distances. This hands-on activity combines history, technology, and fun.

Mission Patch Design

Children get creative by designing personalised mission patches to represent their space adventure. This activity fosters artistic expression and storytelling, resulting in unique keepsakes.

Wednesday

3D Printing Spacecraft

Participants will dive into 3D modeling and printing to create mini replicas of spacecraft or satellites. This session bridges creativity with cutting-edge technology, offering a hands-on introduction to design and fabrication.

Space Elevator Project

Build a motorised pulley system to mimic a futuristic space elevator. This workshop introduces children to engineering principles and mechanics in a fun, practical way.

Drop Test Challenge

Children will design and test spacecraft landers, safely dropping payloads while learning about impact science and engineering.

Thursday

Rocket Building and Launching

Participants will construct water rockets, exploring concepts of pressure and propulsion. To add excitement, children can equip their rockets with parachutes and electronics for enhanced designs.

Design a Straw Kite

Create lightweight, high-flying straw kites. This activity combines crafting with an exploration of materials and flight principles, engaging children in both creativity and science.

VR Activities

Launch simulated missions to the International Space Station and participate in VR challenges that simulate space exploration missions. This cutting-edge activity immerses children in the exciting world of virtual space travel.

Friday

Coding for Space

Younger children will use Scratch, while older participants delve into Python, to code a game where a spaceship navigates through asteroids. This engaging workshop introduces programming concepts in an age-appropriate way.

Space Adventure Game in Roblox Studio

Participants will create a game set on an alien planet, where players explore, collect resources, and repair a crashed spaceship. This activity combines creativity, coding, and storytelling.

Building a Mars Colony Outdoors

Children will collaborate to construct a physical Mars habitat using creative materials. This activity brings together teamwork, design, and an understanding of what it takes to live on another planet.
