FEBRUARY TECH CAMP

Next Maker Camp

The camp combines programming of microcontrollers and engineering of radio contolled cars with further friendly competitions. Children explore sensors, motion and timing through interactive games and projects. The week ends with applied missions including obstacle courses, robotic football match and sumo, focusing on practice, creativity and confident use of technology.

Camp Curriculum

Monday

The day introduces Micro:bits through direct hands on use. Participants create a digital name badge, design simple pixel animations and build a button based rock paper scissors game. The afternoon is dedicated to a reaction speed game using random timing, ending with a friendly championship.

Tuesday

Second day focuses on complete sensor based projects. A tilt controlled maze game is built and programmed, using physical movement to control on screen navigation. In the afternoon, a target and shooting style game is assembled and coded, combining interaction with visual feedback.

Wednesday

The morning explores interaction between hardware and software by using Micro:bit as a controller for Scratch games. In the afternoon, RC car construction begins with chassis assembly, motors and power systems. The session concludes with setting up wireless radio control.

Thursday

Forth day applies programming and control skills to real world challenges. RC cars are tested on a speed based obstacle course that rewards precision and smooth control. A maze navigation challenge follows, requiring careful steering and planning to reach a target zone.

Friday

The final day is dedicated to applied challenges and friendly competition. RC car football introduces teamwork and coordination through goal based play. Robosumo challenges focus on control, strategy and robotic style within a defined arena.
