Easter TECH CAMP

Flight Maker Camp

The camp explores how things fly through hands on building and testing. Children start with simple gliders and kites, then move towards radio-controlled flight . They learn how balance, air and structure work together, improving their designs step by step. The week ends with shared flying sessions and exciting launches, focusing on curiosity, teamwork and learning through making.

Camp Curriculum

Camp Curriculum

Monday

The first day introduces basic flight through simple building. Children create throwable plane gliders and basic rubber band planes using cardboard and lightweight materials. The focus is on balance, smooth rise and safe landing, helping children understand flight through simple and controlled designs.

Tuesday

This day explores wind powered flight through kite making. Children build kites using cardboard frames, paper and string, then test them outdoors to observe lift, tension and stability. Gliders are refined based on these observations, improving control and descent.

Wednesday

RC aircraft work begins with modelling and straight flight. Children assemble simple cardboard RC planes, focusing on structure, weight distribution and safe takeoff. Test flights concentrate on steady rise, straight glide and controlled landing.

Thursday

Directional control is introduced by adding turning capability. Children adjust control surfaces and thrust to achieve gentle turns and stable curves. Flight tests focus on smooth manoeuvres while maintaining balance and control.

Friday

The final day is dedicated to adjustment, teamwork and shared flight. Children fine tune balance, control and structure based on earlier tests. Team flight sessions bring all planes into the air together, focusing on coordination and safe spacing. Water rocket launches run alongside the flights, adding a high energy comparison between powered and pressure driven motion.
